WHAT IS BULLYING
According to the dictionary, bullying is to do harm, intimidate, or coerce (someone perceived as vulnerable).
There are different ways to harm a person. For instance, these are examples of bullying:

Physical bullying: hitting, slapping or pushing someone.

Verbal bullying: name calling, gossiping or threatening someone.

Non-verbal abuse: hand signs or text messages.

Emotional abuse: threatening, intimidating or humiliating someone.

Exclusion: ignoring or isolating someone.

Cyberbullying: someone uses technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person.
How to Deal with Bullying
- Stay calm and do not show anger—it can give bullies more power.
- Walk away confidently or ignore the bully when safe to do so.
- Use kind but firm words to tell the bully to stop.
- Stay with a group of friends—there is safety in numbers.
- Write down what happened (time, place, people involved) to report later.
How to Seek Help
- Tell a trusted adult like a parent, teacher, or school counselor.
- If it's online bullying, block the bully and report their profile or messages.
- Call a child helpline for advice and support.
- Join a support group at school or in your community.
- Remember, you are not alone—help is always available.
